Location: Moorleigh Campus
Duration: 2 sessions, each session 2 hours
Cost: $10
Prerequisite: None, but basic computer skills will be helpful.
This 2 week course introduces participants to the internet (or 'World Wide Web'). The course is designed to assist those interested in learning the very basics of "surfing the web", using "search engines" like Google to find information on almost any subject imaginable (as there is a multitude of web sites or places where information is stored). Participants are also given the opportunity to use e-mail, which enables you to send a 'letter' to anywhere in the world in minutes. Each session has been programmed for two hours and is organised so that you have individual tuition with a tutor for each participant.
