These are held on the fourth Friday of each month at 2pm (not always the last Friday). Meeting format is generally a presentation of software or how-to do various things, followed by a Question and Answer session.

This matter was raised at the September 2010 meeting. Users are having trouble opening attachments in Outlook Express and other email programs - they receive an error message saying it does not know what program to associate with the attachment file type.

This is often caused when the attachment is a Word 2007 (or later) document with file type .docx, and the Word version on the computer is 2003 or earlier. The docx file is a new format, and earlier versions of Word don't know how to handle it.
